PinnacleESP was appointed as part of a full design team to create a new headquarters for the GMB Union within an existing six-storey office building near Euston station. The project included the refurbishment of the basement to second floors, with the upgrade of services to existing tenants on the upper two floors.


The brief required removal of the existing basement plant room in order to provide toilet areas for a 50 seat conference suite, two meeting rooms and a kitchen breakout area. The heating and cooling plant had to be relocated to the roof. 


New Air Source Heat Pump cooling  and  heating systems provided excellent internal comfort levels providing low running costs and was further enhanced by using waste cooling energy to provide hot water. The full security and lighting package included the removal and replacement of all electrical services, fire alarm system, emergency lighting and intruder alarm systems to the lower four floors.
