PinnacleESP were commissioned by the Welwyn Hatfield Council to undertake the Stage 2 design as a feasibility study to support the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) application for The Art Theatre at Campus West.

 

The scheme includes proposing to replace existing end of life Gas boiler plant with Air Source Heat Pumps and a 534m²/111.54KWp photovoltaic array.

 

The initial project budget was undertaken as part of the PSDS incorporating total project value, payback in years, total financial savings, and CO2 savings.  The criteria for PSDS funding was to achieve a minimum £500/tCO2e LT saving – which was achieved.

 

Following the successful bid, we proceeded to undertake Stage 3 design and specifications for tendering. 

 

The contract has been awarded on a JCT 2016 Design and Build Contract.

 

Upon completion of the Stage 3 design, we provided a pre-tender estimate to review costs are in line with the feasibility estimates prior to tender.
