Plender Street is a new mixed-use development located in London, comprising two blocks of 31 apartments.  PinnacleESP was appointed to provide MEP services for the two new build, 5-storey residential blocks. Block A comprises residential units plus two large retail spaces to the ground floor level and Block B includes a 2-storey community centre.

 

The community centre comprised halls, cafe, play areas and recording studios with necessary noise reduction measures to mechanical plant due to its proximity to the housing. We also remodelled the existing community hard sports pitches and provided new floodlighting.

 

Sustainability targets for this project included 20% improvement over and above Building Regulations 2010. To achieve this carbon reduction target, a photovoltaic system to both blocks was provided to support the energy used by the buildings and any remainder can be declared at feed-in tariff rates set by OFGEM.
