Pretoria House

 

Pretoria House is an Extra Care Retirement Home incorporating individual, independent living spaces comprising 1 and 2 bed apartments and a dementia unit. The development includes communal lounges and dining room with a fully fitted restaurant.

 

PinnacleESP provided our client and main developer, Galliford Try, with an initial scheme design and we provided support in preparing the client’s Employers Requirements (ERs). Our involvement in the scheme in the initial stages of the project allowed Galliford Try to achieve accuracy and minimise risk through the early coordination of architecture, structure and building services.

 

For energy efficiency, the scheme has a centralised energy centre including CHP. and heating and hot water is distributed to each independent living flat via a heat interface unit.
