Southside, Victoria Street
Client: NHS
Project Value: £1.5 million
Project Type: CAT B MEP Design - refurbishment of a 2500m2 office on 4th floor
PinnacleESP acted as M&E consultants for the NHS Strategic Health Trust on a prestigious refurbishment of their central London office space of 2500m² to house the NHS emergency control and management facility.
The open plan CAT B fit-out was undertaken over a tight 10 week period. This included the introduction of a self-contained incident room and the formation of perimeter meeting rooms and management offices, all in line with the client’s brief.
Substantial modifications were made to the existing ventilation and water services. Separately conditioned comms and UPS rooms formed part of the design. New, automatically controlled lighting systems using the latest Philips ECS lighting controls and an underfloor plug in bus-bar system, backed up by a large UPS system, were installed to protect the critical services required for this facility.
Ancillary services included significant IT provision, incident room monitor banks, scrambled satellite telephone facilities and induction loop systems.
