Great Eastern Quays is a 'green' mixed-use development spreading over 6.2ha. Phase one will deliver 350 new homes of mixed tenure and over 5,000m² of new commercial, retail and live-work units.

 

PinnacleESP has been appointed to develop the service strategy and design for the site, incorporating the incoming services infrastructure and diversion of high voltage cabling, gas mains and new water services to serve the entire development. The site will draw its heat from a centralised energy centre that generates its heat via a primary CHP unit, backed up by multiple modular gas fired condensing boilers.The energy centre distributes heat via buried district heating mains running to each of the blocks where it is hydraulically separated to then feed the mains risers within each block. The mains energy centre includes for thermal storage to ensure maximum efficiency from the CHP unit in terms of running time.
