PinnacleESP Ltd, founded in 1999, operates from two office bases, Croydon and Central London. We are Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) Consulting Engineers, Sustainability Consultants, Qualified Assessors, Designers and Technical Specialists.
ALEX SMART
Director
Alex is a Director and an integral part of our team for nearly two decades. With a profound understanding of mechanical and electrical design, Alex stands as a driving force behind our success.

At the helm of the Electrical and Public Sector design teams, Alex leads with expertise honed across diverse sectors including education, residential, commercial, industrial, and retail. His leadership extends beyond design, encompassing contract administration to ensure projects thrive from inception to completion.

Alex's skill set encompasses everything from condition surveys to crafting innovative conceptual and detailed designs. Collaborating seamlessly with clients, consultants, and contractors, Alex is dedicated to delivering exceptional results across the construction spectrum.

MATTHEW NORMAN
Director
Matthew is a seasoned Director at PinnacleESP, who joined our team in 2020. With over a decade of experience in construction design and management, Matthew brings a wealth of expertise across various markets and sectors. His arrival has invigorated Pinnacle ESP, fostering growth through his extensive knowledge and established client relationships.

Matthew's career journey has seen him lead numerous multi-disciplinary projects across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. His specialisation lies in sustainable and energy-efficient building services design, a skill set he passionately employs to elevate PinnacleESP's offerings. Committed to delivering top-tier quality and meeting client expectations, Matthew ensures that every project surpasses industry standards.

At PinnacleESP, Matthew leads the Mechanical, Energy & Sustainability team, collaborating closely with clients to craft high-performance building services designs through all RIBA stages. His track record includes successfully delivering a multitude of Low Carbon, Net Zero, and Decarbonisation projects, while adeptly navigating capital and government funding avenues.

DAN MARGETSON
Founder
Dan is the founder of PinnacleESP. With a tenure spanning 25 years, he has spearheaded the growth of PinnacleESP while cultivating a reputation for excellence and reliability. This reputation has positioned the firm as a highly regarded MEP consultancy in the industry.

With over four decades of experience in electrical and mechanical design, as well as project management across new constructions, renovations, and refurbishments, Dan has extensive expertise. His focus lies in collaborating with the public sector, having forged partnerships with numerous London boroughs over the course of his career. His portfolio includes diverse projects ranging from public buildings to schools and residential developments. Dan is as a seasoned contract administrator, adept at bridging the gap between public and private stakeholders on complex ventures. Moreover, he has successfully secured funding for public sector clients through various government initiatives aimed at asset improvement and carbon reduction.

Dan is distinguished by his solution-oriented approach and keen commercial insight. He is dedicated to surpassing client expectations by harmonizing commercial viability, innovation, carbon reduction, and design excellence in all projects.

Business Manager
Lisa brings 21 years of invaluable experience to her role as Business Manager at PinnacleESP, where she plays a pivotal role in driving our success. Susan Anderton
Head of Corporate Development
Susan heads up corporate development at PinnacleESP.

She works closely with our board of directors, advising on all aspects of business development, governance and compliance, quality management and procedures, brand direction, and recruitment and training.

Susan has over 25 years’ experience as a marketer and business adviser, and over 15 years' experience in the construction industry. She has excellent personal communication skills with a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to build long term relationships with our clients.
