Client: Surrey Fire and Rescue Service

Project Value: £4 million

Project Type: New build fire station

Spelthorne Fire Station

Spelthorne is a new build fire station complete with appliance bay, training room, drying rooms, offices and dormitories.  The site facilities include an ambulance station, a boat for inland flood response and a training tower. There is a full load emergency generator on site with a 72 hour fuel supply.

Key aspects of this project include a dedicated exhaust extract from the fire appliance vehicles, a de-humidification system in the drying rooms and a four-day 24 hour full duty standby generator system.  The building is highly automated and has significant integration between the fire station alarm systems, lighting control and an access control PA.

The building will achieve a carbon reduction of 20% and will include photovoltaic panels to help achieve this.  PinnacleESP has developed the scheme with the team from concept, through planning, tender and to on-site duties.
