PinnacleESP were appointed to undertake the Stage 4 MEPH Technical Design for the Banstead Place independent living development.

 

The scheme comprises the redevelopment and refurbishment of a 2.25 hectare brownfield site housing an existing Grade II* listed manor house, formerly a residential care home. The addition of 5No. newly constructed  2 storey buildings to provide a total 54 dwellings. In addition to the restoration of a number of ancillary buildings to provide independent living spaces.

 

The MEPH services design included the implementation of a site wide heat network served by an onsite centralised low carbon energy centre, comprising 5No. Air to Water Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), distributing Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) across site to provide domestic hot water and heating to all dwellings via Heat Interface Units (HIU). All dwellings benefit from Heat Recovery Units (MVHR) to provide improved air quality and reduce energy consumption through heat recovery, whilst also complying with Building Regulations Part L & O.

 

In addition to the above Pinnacle ESP provided detailed design services for underfloor heating, packaged utility cupboards, building and rainwater drainage, Fire Safety systems, LV network distribution, Lighting and Power services, IRS, Security and Comms.
