Client: Axis Europe

Project Value: £13 Million

Pinnacle ESP have been appointed by the main Contractor to carry out the Stage 0-4 design of an ambitious decarbonisation project across 321No. Apartments spanning 3No. Towers in prestigious Maida Vale, London.

The project comprises the total eradication of fossil fuels from the site with the introduction of a large-scale low carbon Energy Centre housing Air Source Heat Pumps connected to a new site wide District Heating Network with sufficient capacity to service surrounding areas in the future.

In addition to the energy centre, 3No. sub terrain boosted cold water plant rooms have been designed, to improve domestic services across all 3No. towers and to serve the new Heat Interface Units serving all apartments and the replacement of heating and domestic water services within dwellings.

On site electrical generation is provided through more than 300kWp Solar PV Arrays mounted on 6No. vertical facades and spanning each tower’s roof. The Solar PV is linked to a new services distribution network and on-site battery storage providing resilience to the wider power grid and also providing power to the new energy centre.
