PinnacleESP were appointed by United Living to provide professional services for the retrofitting of a new BS9251:2021 compliant sprinkler and fire alarm installation across 3No. residential towers in Bermondsey, London.

 

The project encompassed the design and installation of a fully compliant fire suppression system across 3No. fully operational 1960s towers, comprising a total of 222 apartments across 19floors. The residential sprinkler system will offer full coverage to all apartments, zoned per floor and supplied via the boosted cold domestic water supply via a priority demand valve.

 

The project also required the existing plantrooms to be fully redesigned to accommodate new sprinkler tanks, pumpsets, UPS and ancillary plant equipment. This exercise was not without challenges to ensure that the domestic services the occupied residents was not affected throughout the project lifecycle.
