PinnacleESP was commissioned as to deliver a new sports hall and leisure facility for Corelli College. The new building will provide a new four-court sports hall with the remainder of the building providing a weights and exercise gym, dance studio, teaching space and changing facilities.

 

Planning conditions for the building dictated BREEAM 'EXCELLENT which has been achieved and managed within the budget constraints of the project. The building can promote its energy credentials in a number of ways including  a solar PV array to generate onsite electricity, 100% of which can be utilised on site. 

 

Due to the high water demand from the changing block and shower facilities, solar thermal technology has been utilised combined with a gas fired hot water heater to achieve further energy savings.
