With many of these structures relying on fossil fuel-heavy heating systems, funding from government schemes enables their transition to sustainable, energy-efficient alternatives.

Through the creation of heat decarbonisation plans, public sectors can actively contribute to the government's emission reduction goals of 78% by 2035 and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
